Our Class Wish List

• Paper cups for drinks in the classroom with snack.

• Any Legos (used or new) for use when we have indoor recess

• Any age appropriate books (used or new)

• Games for indoor recess (used or new) like Twister, Battleship, etc.

• Gift certificate to Border's for books for classroom use

• We use play-doh a lot in the classroom. at indoor recess times.  It is a favorite of students. The recipe is printed below, if you have time to make it

RECIPES

Play Doh

1 Cup flour                        1 T oil

1/2 cup salt                        food coloring, as needed

1 t cream of tartar             1 pkg. dry KoolAid (without any sugar added)

1 C water

Mix wet ingredients.  Mix dry ingredients.  Add wet to dry stirring until smooth.  Cook over moderate heat until it forms a ball and sticks together.  Put in an airtight container and send to school.

Colored Pasta

pasta (any shape)

2 T rubbing alcohol

Food Coloring (about 10 drops)

Mix food coloring, alcohol and pasta in zip lock bag with about 2 cups of pasta.  Close bag and mix thoroughly.  Remove macaroni from bag and spread on wax paper to dry overnight.  Put in a clean zip-lock bag and send to school.
