Freshmen Students

All papers turned in are to be 1-2 pages in length, double-spaced, and typed in a 12-point, readable font.  You are to turn in a rough draft unless otherwise specified.  Do NOT include a title page.

 

Honor Students

When a paper is assigned, you will be expected to follow certain guidelines.  Be sure to follow these guidelines, for if the paper is not in complete format, it will not be accepted. 

1) Rough draft is to accompany all final drafts.  This does not mean that the final draft is simply the draft that has been spell-checked. I should see the best grammatical elements, sentence structure, flow, and over-all effort that you are capable of producing. Don't settle for mediocre.  This rough draft can be handwritten or word-processed, and the five-paragraph format applies unless otherwise stated.  (Five-paragraph format includes the introduction with thesis statement explaining paper, three body paragraphs, and cohesive conclusion.)

2) Final draft will be a two-paged minimum, three-paged maximum effort.  Drafts are to be double-spaced and in a readable, 12-point font. 

3) Do NOT include a title page. (With the exception of our major research papers)

4) Requirements for the major research papers (Research and Poetry papers) will be given to you as we approach them.
