KHS English Department Policy:
1. All papers passed in on the due date will be eligible for full credit.
2. Any paper not passed in on the date due will be penalized by twenty (20)
points.
3. Papers that are seven calendar days late will receive a grade of 65 (at
best).
4. Papers that are fourteen days late will receive a grade of 0.
I adhere to this policy for all work, not just papers.
Sophomores: You should have ample time to work on papers and will always know when assignments are due by looking at this website or referring to your printed class calendar.
A few things to remember about this policy:
* You may e-mail me your papers at mpierce@msad71.net if your printer is not working, but I won't print your paper for you... consider e-mailing it to YOURSELF and printing it up before our class. You won't have class time to print your paper.
* I understand life happens. If you get panicky about a paper, come talk to me BEFORE the paper is due.
Honors Students: Any assignment other than a paper that is not turned in on the assigned day will count as zero.
**A special note for Newspaper students:
As you will learn throughout our time together, a late story/piece on a professional paper or news station would get you fired. We'll be discussing deadlines and the overall importance of the big team effort. I won't need to be telling you this more than once or twice, as you and your staffs will see how important it is to depend on each other to get the news out.
