Maine School Immunization Law requires a child to have the proper immunizations within 90 days of entering school.

 Currently, the required immunizations are as follows:

• Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus (DPT)                      5 doses

• Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV)                                     4 doses

• Measles, Mumps, Rubella Vaccine (MMR)                2 doses

• * Varicella Vaccine (Chicken Pox)                          1 dose

*Note: At the start of school year 2003, the Kindergarten and First Grade students were required to show proof of immunity to Varicella (Chicken Pox).

Written documentation of immunization must include the month, day,  and year of administration and must be signed by a physician.
