Mrs. Mildner's kindergartners were given the task of typing a sentence and creating a picture using Kidpix3.

The students were first introduced to the software program a week in advance. We explored the typing tool, the pencil tool, paint bucket and color pallet. We explored the many aspects of these different tools.

In the following lab class, we discussed what we would like to draw a picture of. Our task was to then typed our name and the sentence. We then drew the corresponding picture. Many students chose a favorite animal to create. It was great practice with the tools.
