GRAPHING
All year long,
the second graders in Mrs. Barrett's class, have been keeping track of the
following daily data:
*The Day of School; the date, the morning temperature, and the morning weather
We color in the temperature range each day: white is below zero degrees Fahrenheit; purple is between 0 and 20 degrees; blue is between 20 and 40 degrees; orange is between 80 and 100 degrees; and red is above 100 degrees.
Here in Kennebunkport, we don't usually get to color in white
or orange or red for our morning temperature! At the end of the year we
hang up our data charts so everyone in our school can see how our temperature
has changed during the school year.
We brought the data we had collected so far into the computer lab, opened a template in KidPix3 and created the graphs you see below. We stamped the number of items (pictures) to match the total of that row.
