STONE SOUP

                                                                by Ms. Tushin's Class

"Stone Soup" is a traditional tale, engaging students' imaginations as they think up ideas for things that can go into a pot of plain water to turn it into a lovely pot of soup. Reading from any version of the tale, encourage the students to brainstorm ideas for ingredients into the soup pot.
After the stone, what goes in?    What makes good soup?
Using KidPix3 in the computer lab, have students use the brainstorming session to create their pots of soup, drawing (or stamping) ingredients as they go, and labeling them if they can.
