The week of April 28th to May 2nd, delivers to Consolidated School our Artist In Residence for 2008........... Michael Wingfield.
Grades K to 5 will have workshops scheduled with Mr. Wingfield during this time as part of the Artist In Residence program.

Kindergarten  

In computer lab we have finished Dole 5 a Day and have begun working in Millie's Math House and EDMath games.

 

First Grade:  Earth Day and spring this month! Creative story writing and in math, place value, coins, and time.

Second Grade: 
Oh those Dinos!!
  We are working on our chosen Dinosaur reports. Please keep posted for our Dinosaur Day date! TBA  We will visit the Boston Museum of Science to learn more about Dinosaurs on April 3rd!

This month, we shall attend  the performance of "HONK" (version of the Ugly Duckling) by the Seacoast Repertory Theater in Portsmouth NH.

Science, we begin to look at inventions.

 

Multi Second/First Grade:  We will visit the Boston Museum of Science to learn more about Dinosaurs on Thursday, April 3rd!

This month, we shall attend  the performance of "HONK" (version of the Ugly Duckling) by the Seacoast Repertory Theater in Portsmouth NH.

 

Third Grade:   Force, Work, Energy, Simple Machines, and Sound. 

We explore Google Earth.

We are studying the night sky and stars this month and will be going to the Southworth Planetarium at U.S.M.

Fourth Grade:    Fourth graders will use our free Google Earth in computer lab.

They are working on creative writings in the lab, some of which will be in the eZine due out this month! 

 

 

 

Fifth Grade & Multi Fourth/Fifth:  Mr. Chapman's multi finish their PowerPoint presentations on the History of Maine - soon to be posted on the web!

Mr. Bodwell's 5th grade are finishing their Harriet Tubman WebQuest, after attending the play, Freedom Train at the Merrill Auditorium last month.

We have completed placing the finishing touches on our "Famous U.S. Landmark" speech and will attend the 5th grade Civic Oration this month.

In the computer lab, 5th graders begin to create a 1 page comic of ourselves for our yearbook using the iMac software Comic Life!
