PHOTOGRAPHY I

This is an introductory studio course that covers the basics of black and white film and print development. The history of photography, art theory and criticism will be touched upon but will not be fully developed until Photography II. The goal of this class will be to create work that is both technically proficient as well as meaningful. Art foundations, a strong work ethic and an open mind are all that are required for success.

A manual 35mm camera is necessary and will be furnished by the student.

Students need additional time outside of class to complete darkroom work.
