| Hola amigos, It is a good thing we love oranges because they are plentiful here. We have also eaten our fill of paella, a dish native to this region with seafood and rice. There are more than 500 kilometers of coast in this region. There is also a saltwater lake called La Albufera. The Castle of Jativa is a traditional manorial town. Its fortress shows the remains of almost all of the periods of Spanish history. Not far from there is the Cova Negra with some of the most important prehistorical remains on the Iberian peninsula at an age of over 8000 years. Finally, we bought you some turrones--fudge-based confectionary which they traditionally eat at Christmas. We'll try not to eat it up before we see you. Con amor, Mario y Patricia |
