We are quite full. We just finished a big bowl of fabada. It is a stew made from large beans. We also got to taste the cidra or cider, but aren't old enough to drink much. The region we are currently in is actually a principality and used to be the stronghold of the Christian kingdom that most actively battled the Moors to the south. It has high mountain ranges, outstanding natural preserves, and we have taken many pictures of the Picos de Europa. They are actually on the border of this region. Right now, we are staying in Gijon, a historic city and one of the most important seaports today. The old fishermen's quarters are very interesting. Looking forward to your visit.
