What a great place! The climate is mild all year, and there is great mountain scenery. In fact at the Pico de Tres Mares, they say a drop of water that falls on it is equally likely to wind up in the Atlantic Ocean by way of the Duero River, the Cantabrian Sea by way of the Nausa River, or the Mediterranean Sea from the Ebro River. We have also seen the caves of Altamira which have prehistoric drawings in them. This area is popular in the summer with Spaniards because they can escape the heat. Tomorrow, we are going to the natural park which has animals from all five continents. Speaking of animals, there are tons of cows here--this region has more cattle than any other. We are looking forward to your visit.
