Hola amigos,

Whew! We are lucky to be alive! We are here in town where they have just had the festival of San Fermines. Otherwise known as the Running of the Bulls. During this festival around July 6, they let bulls run a course through the streets and people run in front of them. We have also seen people dancing the jota--a very energetic dance. On a quieter note, there are more than 50 nature preserves in this region. We also listened to monks singing Gregorian chants at San Salvador de Leyre. It was the seat of the archbishop during the time of the Pyrenee kingdom. At that time, the kings were buried here. Tomorrow, we are off to Olite which is a perfectly conserved fortress of some of those kings. Can't wait to share some of the sights with you.

Con amor,

Mario y Patricia
