We are in the smallest region of Spain now. It is the most famous for producing wine. In fact, our timing was perfect because on June 29th, they have the battle of the wine. Wine is the only weapon and everybody gets soaked. We also ate some of the pimientos del Piquillo--they are delicious sweet red peppers. They also had a festival when we arrived on the 22nd--the Danza de los Zancos where there is traditional dancing on stilts. On a more serious note, the first text ever written in Castillian Spanish came from this region. Looking forward to your visit.
