Wondering about our Prize Shop?
Every year I like to celebrate students good behavior, homework return and any extra distance that they go in their studies. In order to do this, the students collect money on a daily basis that reflects their efforts for that time. Periodically, I have the students count up all their collected money and I open the Prize Shop! Students are allowed to use their collected funds to purchase items that I have collected over time. These items consist of books, pencils, stickers, toys, posters and more.
I also use this time to help the students with their money skills. They will work on not only tallying the total cost, but determine the amount of change they receive as well. This is a fun way to help students work on their money skills and a great opportunity to help it reflect real life situations.
I need your help! If you would be interested or are willing to donate items to the prize shop, please email or call me to let me know. Remember, the Prize Shop is only done once in a while (no more than once a month) and proves to be a fun and exciting time for all!
