As an Art Specialist, I contribute to learning through knowledge, production, and critical analysis of art. This program aspires to meet the needs of all children, as well as instilling personal success and a sense of global knowledge.
Goals of the Art Program:
-To create an atmosphere of aesthetic awareness
-To introduce and utilize the elements of art: line ,space,color, texture,shape and form
-To gain skills relating to the proper use and care of art implements and materials
-To strengthen a student's ability to interpret and solve various artistic problems through critical and creative thinking
-To develop self-discipline
-To help develop an alternative use of leisure time
-To involve the community
-To recognize art as an essential tool for understanding diversity in cultures, social beliefs, and values
-To integrate art into all subject areas as an alternative language of communication
-To reflect and critique artwork
