1. Bring these supplies:
planner, novel, spare pens/pencils, LA binder, vocab book, laptop
2. Record HW & place HW on desk for discussion
3. Complete LA warm-up in Journal
4. Read class plan
 

DURING CLASS

TONE: Varies on class goals

1. Participate respectfully
2. Be thoughtful of those around you
3. Take responsibility for your learning
4. Do your best!

END OF CLASS

TONE: Listening

1.Listen for last minute announcements
2. Pick up personal materials & space:
return class supplies, recycle paper, throw away trash
3. Double check your homework assignment
4.. When the bell rings, push in your chair...dismissed!

AT HOME

1. Read 30 minutes daily
2, Do your homework completely and well
3. Notice words… how do people use them to express thoughts, persuade, entice, soothe, anger, bring joy?
