Welcome to the

Consolidated School Art Room

All students at Consolidated, grades K-5, take part in a weekly art program that enriches and encourages growth in accordance with the State of Maine Learning Results.  Creative expression, cultural heritage and aesthetic criticism are central as we focus on various skills and mediums.  From watercolors to tempera paints, clay to paper mache, colored pencils to pastels- we draw, sculpt, paint, think and see.

Art is a language and a wonderful way to learn about the world around us.  It is a portal into other time periods, cultures, individual imaginations and personal emotions.  By studying the visual arts and creating on a regular basis, students develop a deeper self awareness and sense of understanding.  May our students learn that they can be the artists of their own lives: creating, designing and shaping it to be whatever they dream of...
