All events listed below require volunteers, please contact KCPTA if you are interested in helping out with an event.

Family Barbeque

The Back to School Family Barbeque!  September the KCPTA hosted a welcome back to school Family Barbeque   It is a great chance to reconnect with teachers and friends from our school community.  The barbeque is free for all.  We look forward to seeing you at our next Back to School Barbeque!

Holiday Craft Day (November-December)

This event is held in the halls and gym of the school during Christmas prelude.

Scholastic Book Fairs (to be announced)

KCPTA provides the volunteers to give every kid the chance to buy books at Consolidated.  The school library becomes a bookstore.

Family BINGO Night (to be announced)

Admission is free and prizes are given out.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Testing week snacks (April)

Between the Terra Novas in the second and third grade, and the MEAs in fourth, there is a week in the spring when our school population should be operating optimally!  While FOPS whishes we could spoil our kids like this everyday, we have on occasion provided healthy snacks of fruit, cheese and pretzels for our busy test takers.

"Port Players" Drama Club (Spring)

The production of a school play is a lot of work, but provides an experience like no other for elementary school students.  Generally an 8-10 week commitment.

Teacher Appreciation Week

A special luncheon buffet set up for our teachers shows them we know how hard they work for our kids.  The selections can be homemade or ordered from a local sandwich shop, depending on our account balance!

Family Game Night

A special night designated to Bingo or other games with refreshments and prizes.

Circus Smirkus

During the summer the circus comes to town to help KCPTA raise money.  Rockin' Horse Stables & KCPTA sponsored show.   

Circus Smirkus is a not-for-profit arts and education organization that provides a forum for youth and adults to collaborate on life enhancing adventures in the circus arts.

Kindergarten Sneak-a-Peek

Sneak-a-Peek is a tradition in which experienced parents show new kindergarteners their classrooms and help them with a short bus ride a few days before the first day of school.
